Hand Knotted

Hand knotted necklaces I think are so beautiful. They have such a cool boho feel.  I have been trying to perfect my hand knotting since my first days making jewelry. The key is needle nose jewelry tweezers so you can pull the string close to the beads.  I use silk string when making a necklace. I have recently found if you wet the silk string and then stretch the string allowing it to dry. Your knots stay tighter.  Tie one end of the silk on a hanger with weights on the other end. Then hang it allowing the weights to stretch the silk overnight.  Here is my latest piece. A 108 bead mala necklace.
