Photographing Jewelry

Photographing my jewelry is an important aspect to selling on Etsy. A great picture will get people to click on your item.  Unfortunately I find this part of the business super challenging.  I spend far too long trying to get the right angle and lighting.  This week I decided maybe some props would help display my items better and get me a beautiful picture.  I am lucky to have a pretty good macro professional lens from Canon that my husband gave me for my birthday.  Here are some of my favorite pictures I took this week.

My fancy set up;)
My heart really lies in creating and making jewelry. I totally understand why people hire photographers to shoot their items.  Truth be told this is all just a hobby.  A way to keep me busy and happy. It would be cool if someday it was a profitable business I must admit, but for now here it is in all its glory!
